Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of authors and artists, including Laura Numeroff, Michael Sampson, Violet Lemay, Miguel Ordonez, Richard Cowdrey, Traci Morrow, Kevin Griffin, Todd Lockwood, Richard Dresser, and others. I’ve also had the honor of bringing to life unpublished works by the late Bill Martin Jr and Michael Sampson, an experience that has deeply enriched my creative journey. These collaborations, alongside my work with professors, poets, and scholars, have shaped my understanding of the powerful intersection between words and imagery in storytelling.
My experience spans art direction, book design, accessibilty, metadata creation, branding, and social media, with a focus on creating effective visual narratives. At the University of Texas at Arlington, I designed journals and OER textbooks while managing digital accessibility initiatives to ensure broader reach and inclusivity. A highlight of my time at UTA was contributing to the redesign and digital release of Fast Capitalism, a journal founded by the late Ben Agger and managed by professor David Arditi. The journal is devoted to analyzing the impact of information and communication technologies on self, society and culture in the 21st century and features articles by notable scholars like Charles Lemert, Binoy Kampmark, and Carl Boggs.
Currently, as Senior Manager of Operations at Brown Books, I oversee illustration and art direction, contributing to the development of both the visual and narrative aspects of our projects. I also help shape brand identity and visual storytelling across on our website and social media platforms, enhancing our presence and communication with readers.
Below are some notable projects I’ve had the privilege to contribute to:
